MGL is the first Gemological Laboratory at West Jakarta. Founded in 2015, we specializes in Gemstone evaluation, grading procedures and setting certification standards for the identification of authentic Gemstones around the world.
MGL as an independent laboratory, provides services to publish report of the gemstone authenticity. We are also equipped with a complete gemological equipments, techniques, knowledge and analysis from our experienced gemologist. To produce quality reports that show originality, presence or absence of additional treatment, knowledge of the origin and the quality of the gemstone.

How They Work
My Gems Lab comprises of a team with highly qualified and success driven gemologists, who are responsible for testing gemstones using professional equipments. Gemstone evaluation is a complex and timely process which requires the stone to first be examined thoroughly to determine the type of stone, its color, quality and origin.
Upon completing this stage, the stone is then evaluated for every small detail, such as weight, color, clarity, and cutting, among other things. Although these processes may seem small, they require complete attention and careful study of the gem, which is carried out responsibly by the team at MGL.
After careful and thoroughly examination of the gemstone, it’s certification report is generated by the company and updated on their website, the customer receives a Certificate number, which they can use to view their certificate from the My Gems Lab website.

Yes, here at MGL, we provide multiple forms of authentication from verbal consultation (synthetic/natural/imitation) to full certification, including country of origin for any specific gemstone either loose or in jewelry.
MGL does not provide any price valuation for any gemstone and jewelry as we are a laboratory. This means that we only provide identification, grading and certification to the highest degree.

Here at MGL, we strive to complete our tasks at an efficient rate without compromising on quality of work. For single gemstone projects, a customer may be able to get his or her gemstone back with full certification on the same day, but we recommend calling or emailing in beforehand to set an appointment as on average, it takes the MGL gemology team up to 3 working days per customer project (depending on number or gemstones / jewelry volume) to complete due to the amount of customers we have.
The simple answer would be no. This is because MGL do not require any destructive methods to gain the information we need for certification. For the most part, we do not even remove the gemstones from jewelry sent to us unless absolutely necessary. In the case that we need to remove the gemstone from jewelry, the owner will be notified beforehand and we would require confirmation before moving forward.
The lab that our gemologist team operates here at MGL is under CCTV surveillance at all times. Furthermore, upon agreeing to our services, the owner will be presented with a receipt stating the type of product received.
